Devon Open Studios 2021

Edge of the Teign are opening our doors again in just a couple of weeks and look forward to welcoming you.

Time Flies!

Well what happened to August? It seemed to come and go in the blink of an eye and here I am now, finding myself making the last few preparations for this year's Devon Open Studios.

Devon Open Studios

This will be my 3rd year with the ‘Edge of the Teign’ collective at Hearn Field Pavilion which, as many of you will know, sits right on the bank of the River Teign in Combeinteignhead making it the perfect location for our Open Studios festival.

So, what’s new?

I have spent the last few months developing a brand new collection ready to showcase for the first time at this year's event. 'Rediscovered Treasures’ are inspired by the Shipwreck Beads that I was given by a diver from Guernsey and I am excited to share the story with you as I am especially pleased with the new pieces. If you aren't able to visit in person or fancy a sneak insight, I recently wrote a blog post specifically about them which you can read here.

And what else?

Inspired by the Celandine ring that I made earlier in the year, I have also added to my floral jewellery collection. New for this year's Flora is the addition of gold leaf to give a luxurious rich surface to the flower petals at a more modest price than using solid gold.

Favourites from my popular Deco and Twist collections, new 'mix and match' bangles and rings from my Contemporary range will also be available.

#RingAMonth Challenge

I’ll be showing the 8 rings that I have made for the #ringamonth challenge so far. Here’s my August offering. The theme was ‘favourite decade.’ Can you guess what mine was?!

Septembers theme is 'Architecture & Monuments' and so you will be able to watch my design take shape during the event.

Workshop Spaces still left

I still have a few spaces for my EcoSilver jewellery workshops on Wednesdays 15th and 22nd of September. They are suitable for beginners or those with some experience already and you can choose between making a Trio of Bangles or Stacking Rings similar to those below.
