Eco News

You will probably know that I have been using and proudly promoting Ecosilver for a number of years but, not anymore...

EcoSilver

Ecosilver was the tradename for the recycled silver materials that I bought from my main supplier – Cooksongold.

But, not all ranges of sheet, tube, wire and grain were available in EcoSilver which I found both disappointing and somewhat limiting.

So, is this why you won’t you hear me championing it anymore?

Well, no actually - I have better news to share…

100% Recycled

I’m pleased to say that I don’t have to pick and choose anymore because Cooksongold have recently announced that ALL their silver and gold bullion are now all made using 100% recycled precious metals.

All products are equal in quality to unrecycled precious metals and are fully traceable, the EcoSilver name has been dropped and instead it’s now just plain and simple ‘100% Recycled’.

This is great news - not only does it save further damage to the earth, caused by mining for depleting resources, but it’s recycling process also has less impact on the environment in the way of water pollution and the emission of greenhouse gases. With plenty of scrap material available for refining and recycling it’s a far more ethical and sustainable choice than mining for new silver and gold.

Thank you

I’m delighted that Cooksongold have made this commitment. The recycled metals have the same quality results and come to me with a certificate of authenticity so, together as supplier, jeweller and customers, we can all be assured of the ethical difference we are making to the future of our planet.
