Shipwreck Bead Earrings
These drop earrings feature authentic 17th Century shipwreck beads that inspired the start of this whole collection. The beads took quite a lot of cleaning up and you can read more about them on my News Page (link below) but I’ve left some evidence of the siliceous deposits which verifies their history.
Light weight, easy to wear and co-ordinating with all the other pieces in the collection, the silver earrings have an oxidised patination to enhance the texture and to contrast with the colours of the beads. Bringing new and old together with the suggestion of having spent years laying half buried and lost on the sea bed, they are rediscovered treasures for you to appreciate in all their worn and eroded beauty.
